Acceptable Use Policy

This policy describes how Logistate expects consumers, agents, brokerages, and other users to interact with the platform. It supplements our Terms of Use and applies to public search tools, account features, and professional workspace activity.

Purpose

Logistate is an Ontario-first real estate intelligence platform used by consumers exploring listings and by authorized agents and brokerages managing professional workflows. This Acceptable Use Policy sets clear expectations so the platform remains trustworthy, secure, and useful for everyone.

By using Logistate, you agree to follow this policy in addition to our Terms of Use. Violations may result in restricted access, content removal, or account suspension as described below.

Prohibited Platform Misuse

You may not use Logistate in ways that harm the platform, other users, listing data integrity, or Logistate's business operations. Prohibited misuse includes, without limitation:

  • Using Logistate for unlawful, deceptive, or abusive purposes.
  • Attempting to gain unauthorized access to accounts, organizations, or data.
  • Interfering with platform performance, availability, or security controls.
  • Reselling, sublicensing, or republishing platform access or outputs without permission.
  • Using professional permissions for personal gain outside your assigned role or brokerage.

The sections below provide more detail on common categories of misuse. This list is not exhaustive.

No Scraping, Crawling, Data Harvesting, Or Unauthorized MLS/Listing Reuse

Listing, market, community, and related data shown on Logistate may be subject to display rights, licensing terms, and brokerage policies. You may not scrape, crawl, harvest, bulk export, mirror, or systematically copy platform content using automated tools, scripts, browser extensions, or manual processes intended to circumvent normal use limits.

You may not, without express written authorization from Logistate and any applicable rights holder:

  • Reuse MLS, board, or third-party listing feeds outside permitted product workflows.
  • Republish listing photos, descriptions, or pricing at scale on other sites or databases.
  • Build competing datasets or lead products primarily from Logistate-sourced content.
  • Probe or map internal APIs, identifiers, or endpoints for bulk extraction.

Reasonable personal use—such as saving homes within product features or sharing individual listing links—is permitted when consistent with these terms and applicable data-source rules.

No Spam Or Unlawful Marketing

Logistate supports inquiry responses, transactional notices, and—where valid consent exists— optional marketing follow-up. You may not use the platform to send spam, unsolicited bulk messages, or commercial electronic messages that violate Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) or other applicable law.

  • Do not send marketing email or SMS without a valid express or implied consent basis.
  • Do not use Logistate lead forms, CRM exports, or contact tools to blast unrelated promotions.
  • Include required sender identification and honour unsubscribe or opt-out requests promptly.
  • Follow brokerage advertising, RECO, and fair-housing rules when promoting listings or services.

See our Communication Consent notice for how Logistate approaches consent on public forms.

No Fake Leads, Impersonation, Or Misleading Profiles

Trust depends on accurate identity and honest interactions. You may not submit fake inquiries, fabricate contact details, impersonate another person or brokerage, or misrepresent licensing, employment, or authority on Logistate.

  • Do not create accounts or leads using false names, emails, or phone numbers.
  • Do not claim credentials, brokerage affiliation, or RECO registration you do not hold.
  • Do not use another user's account or professional permissions without authorization.
  • Do not post misleading listing information, manipulated media, or deceptive marketing claims.

Brokerage administrators are responsible for ensuring staff profiles and public-facing agent or brokerage pages reflect accurate, approved information.

No Attempts To Bypass Auth, RBAC, Rate Limits, Or Security Controls

Logistate uses authentication, role-based access control (RBAC), organization scoping, rate limits, and other safeguards to protect users and data. You may not attempt to bypass, disable, or test these controls without explicit written authorization from Logistate.

  • Do not share passwords, session tokens, API keys, or invite links outside authorized users.
  • Do not escalate privileges, access another organization's records, or spoof roles.
  • Do not automate login attempts, credential stuffing, or brute-force attacks.
  • Do not circumvent rate limits, CAPTCHA, CSRF protections, or audit logging.

Good-faith security research should be reported through the contact channels below rather than tested against production systems without approval.

No Malware Or Unsafe Uploads

You may upload documents, images, and other files through features you are authorized to use. You must not upload malware, viruses, harmful scripts, illegal content, or files designed to compromise Logistate systems or other users' devices.

  • Do not upload content you do not have the rights or permissions to share.
  • Do not embed tracking, phishing, or credential-harvesting payloads in submitted files or links.
  • Do not attempt to exploit upload handlers, document viewers, or preview features.

Logistate may scan, quarantine, or remove uploads that pose a security or compliance risk.

No Harassment, Discriminatory Conduct, Or Illegal Activity

Logistate must be safe and respectful for consumers, clients, agents, and staff. You may not use the platform to harass, threaten, stalk, discriminate against, or abuse any person or group.

  • Do not send abusive messages through inquiries, CRM tools, or internal messaging.
  • Do not discriminate based on protected grounds under applicable human-rights law.
  • Do not use Logistate to plan, promote, or facilitate illegal activity.
  • Do not publish content that is defamatory, hateful, or sexually exploitative where prohibited.

Real estate advertising and client communications must comply with fair-housing principles and brokerage conduct standards.

Enforcement Actions

Logistate may investigate suspected violations of this policy and take action we reasonably believe is necessary to protect users, data, and platform integrity. Actions may include:

  • Warning the user or brokerage administrator.
  • Removing or restricting content, uploads, or public profile elements.
  • Limiting specific features such as messaging, marketing, or lead export.
  • Suspending or terminating accounts or organization access.
  • Preserving records and cooperating with law enforcement where required by law.

Enforcement decisions may consider severity, repeat behaviour, impact on others, and contractual or billing status. Where appropriate, brokerage administrators may be notified about actions involving their organization's users.

Reporting Abuse

If you believe someone is violating this Acceptable Use Policy—or if you experience harassment, suspicious account activity, or misleading listings—please report it to Logistate promptly.

Include relevant details such as account names, listing links, message timestamps, and screenshots where helpful. Logistate will review reports in good faith and respond according to internal processes.
